Rate limits protect the API from abuse and ensure fair access for all users.

REST API Limits

Requests per second per IP	10

When you exceed the rate limit, you receive:

HTTP/1.1 429 Too Many Requests
Retry-After: 60

WebSocket Limits

Limit Type	Value
Connections per IP	10
Messages per second per connection	5
Idle timeout	5 minutes
Connection timeout	1 hour

Rate Limit Headers

Responses include rate limit information:

`X-RateLimit-Limit`	Maximum requests allowed
`X-RateLimit-Remaining`	Requests remaining in window
`X-RateLimit-Reset`	Unix timestamp when limit resets
